President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined family, relatives and friends of Mama Rael Mailu in mourning her death.
Mama Rael is mother of Dr. Cleopa Mailu, Kenya's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations World Trade Organization (WTO). The head of state said that the death of Mama Mailu is a big blow not only to the family but also the entire nation.
The President said that the deceased was indeed a hardworking woman who treasured the lives of the young generation. He said that Mailu worked day and night to ensure that her children got nothing but the best at the end of the day. Uhuru pledged to stand with the family of former Cabinet Secretary for Health during this moment of trial.
“Mama Rael was a known and highly respected community leader who believed in the virtues and benefits of education.“Her belief that education was the foundation of life was the inspiration that led many from her community to pursue education, and become productive members of society,” the President wrote.
Uhuru further prayed to God to grant the kin fortitude as they mourn the deceased. The burial death for the deceased is yet to be revealed. Other leaders have also sent their messages of condolence after learning about the demise of Mama Mailu.
