In an interview with Daily Nation, the lawmaker said that he is considering retirement plans before the completion of his term in office.

He said that the game of politics is not as easy as many think. He added that he is not ready to take part in the presidential race.

“The other day (Gatundu South MP) Moses Kuria asked me to be his running mate in the next elections and I told him: Boss, I can’t run, I can only be a limping mate and that won’t take you far,” he said.

The vocal MP said that it has been proven in Kenya that persons who want to make money often join politics.

He noted that politics remain a dirty game and that he has had enough to forge ahead in life at a different capacity.

“The fastest way to become poor in Kenya is to become a Member of Parliament or Member of County Assembly,” he said.

Ole Sankok once served as a chairman of the National Council of People with Disabilities before he decided to quit and was later nominated to Parliament by the Jubilee party.
