The daughter of top Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani has spoken out for the first time in public after the killing of his father by the US in a military strike.
Zeinab Soleimani warned the US that it faced a dark day ahead as she described President Donald Trump as crazy, Sky News has reported.
“Crazy Trump, don't think that everything is over with my father's martyrdom, " she fired.
"The families of the American soldiers in western Asia ... will spend their days waiting for the death of their children," she added according to the LBC channel news portal.
Trump claimed that Qassem Soleimani was actively planning attacks against US interests and had to be taken out, saying that the world was safer following his death.
"They attacked us, & (sic) we hit back. If they attack again, which I would strongly advise them not to do, we will hit them harder than they have ever been hit before!" Trump stated.
Calls have been made for both sides in the conflict, Iran and the US, to conduct themselves with restraint and work towards a ceasefire.
Soleimani is set to be buried on Tuesday.
