All is set for the Uasin Gishu Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa group meeting scheduled for Saturday, November 7.
Addressing the media in Eldoret town on Thursday, Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Boss Shollei said 50 women Members of Parliament and Senate are expected to attend the function.
“I want to confirm that everything is set for Saturday’s Uasin Gishu chapter Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa edition. Our aim is to empower women, youths, and people with disabilities earn a living,” she said.
The event will be held at Teachers Advisory Center (TAC) grounds in Eldoret from 8am to 2pm.
Shollei said the convoy of the women leaders will start from Kapseret and traverse Eldoret town before going to TAC Center.
“47 groups of women, youths, and people with disabilities who have been nominated by the 47 MCAs in Uasin Gishu will benefit. I urge all residents to attend,” Shollei added.
According to Shollei, those nominated will be given welding machines, car wash machines, sewing machines, brick welding machines, and Meko jikos.
The group made up of over 50 women leaders have been traversing the country empowering women, youths, and people living with disabilities.
