Political analyst Dennis Anyonka now says that Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's recent remarks pose a great danger to his position and can easily cost him the seat.
The county boss has been under criticism lately after he opened the lid on the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth's private life on Thursday, revealing that the late MP had an extramarital affair.
Sonko also admitted to having been influenced to nominate Okoth's alleged lover Anne Thumbi to the county assembly.
The county boss has also been involved in a verbal war with Senator Isaac Mwaura and Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo over the same.
Anyonka now says that this makes it easy to challenge his integrity in court, which could lead to his impeachment on grounds of poor integrity.
"He has fallen short of leadership integrity. You can challenge his integrity in court, resulting in an impeachment (Waweza kuenda kortini ukasema maadili yake ni mabovu na ikaleta impeachment)," he said.
The commentator made the remarks on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha show on Monday morning.
He aired his personal concerns about Sonko's actions, saying that the county chief will be viewed as a bad example of a leader.
However, he said that the flamboyant youthful leader is doing nothing new as Kenyans are already used to his controversial actions, opining that he is doing all this for political popularity.
"His behaviour is just meant to achieve political impact, every Kenyan is now hearing about him (Ni tabia tu ya kuleta political impact, Wakenya wote sasa wanamsikia). Sonko is after political mileage," he added.
