Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o through County Finance Executive Nerry Achar has appreciated government the role of actuaries in today’s world.
Speaking during the 6th Annual Actuarial Boot Camp at Kisumu Hotel, Nerry noted that his finance department will be offering internship opportunities to actuarial students.
The Finance Executive stated that those who were interested with the internship should apply now.
“My finance department will be offering internship opportunities to actuarial students and those interested should apply now,” Stated Nerry.
He went further and said that the county government of Kisumu appreciates the position of an actuary in the emerging financial markets, cryptocurrencies, black chain system and IFRS 9.
Other speakers present in the boot camp were Dr. Lucy Muthoni, and Mr. John Muli- CEC RBA Finance Kisumu County.
The camp was also attended by Maseno University Students and other surrounding universities.
