Seven schools in Machakos county have been torched in the last one month.
Some of the suspects have been arrested to help police with investigations, while some have already been arraigned in court and charged.
The first school to be set ablaze during the ongoing school burning wave was Machakos primary school which left property of unknown value destroyed.
After this, other five schools were torched which includes Kithangaini and Masii high schools both in Mwala sub-county, Syokisinga and Maiuni secondary schools both in Yatta sub -county, Mitaboni high school in Kathiani sub -county and Tala S.A primary school in Matungulu sub-county.
Tala S.A primary school and Syokisinga secondary school were set ablaze on the night of July 17.
Students all over the country have been cautioned against burning down of schools but seems the advice is falling into deaf ears.
