It now less than two months to the General Elections on August 8, and for long the focus has been on the presidential candidates and thei manifestos.
However, in between the politics and manifestos stands seven men who I prefer to call keepers of peace, these are men who head key institutions charged with ensuring peace is maintain before and after the polls.
These keepers of the peace include Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati and CEO Ezra Chiloba; Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett; NIS director general Philip Kameru; Supreme Court Chief Justice David Maraga; NCIC chairman Francis Ole Kaparo; and director general of the Communication Authority of Kenya Francis Wangusi.
The men better be braced for the herculean task given that latest opinion polls have indicated that President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA's Raila Odinga could go through a run-off given their close race according to the pollsters.
