Five Cabinet Secretaries who served in President Uhuru Kenyatta's first term failed to make it to the final batch of cabinet.

A fortnight ago, Uhuru retained six ministers who served in previous administration, a list he doubled on Friday when he unveiled the full list.

Also, Uhuru, who yet again named cabinet in the absence of his Deputy William Ruto, created Chief Administrative Secretary position within all ministries.

However, those affected were redeployed as envoys to various countries and indication that Uhuru was under pressure to satisfy his previous employees to cabinet.

Former Lands Minister Jacob Kaimenyi will serve as ambassador to permanent mission to UNESCO, while Dan Kazungu, who has been in the mining docket will be Kenya's envoy to Tanzania.

Outgoing Environment Minister Judith Wakhungu will serve in France while Willy Bett, who has been in the Agricultural docket will be serving as High Commissioner to India.

Also affected is Phyllis Kandie, who has been redeployed from Labour to Belgium. Hassan Wario will serve in Austria while Cleopha  Mailu will serve as Kenya's permanent representative to UN.
