A 70 year-old man's fingers were chopped when cattle rustlers invaded his home at around 3am on Tuesday at Kurunduni village in Kuresoi South Ward.
Joseph Kariuki and his family were in the house sleeping when the raiders broke into his cattle shed and started driving away the cattle, managing to get away with four of them.
Kuresoi South MCA Mr Njuguna Kimani said the raiders went straight to the cattle shed and started driving the cattle away.
"Mr Kariuki heard commotion and went outside to inspect, in the process they cut his fingers before they escape with cattle," he said.
Njuguna said this is not the first time the raiders have come to this home adding that a year ago the man's was injured in his private parts when raiders stormed his home.
Njuguna urged local police officers to do thorough investigation and arrest the culprits.
"I want to urge the police to do investigation and arrest the raiders," he said.
