Politicians drawn from the 14 counties of the Rift Valley region now want the government to focus on implementing the Jubilee government's Big Four agenda.
The group has stressed on the need for the government to help exploit the region's agricultural potential and go all out against rampant insecurity in some parts.
While concluding their two-day retreat at the Lake Naivasha Resort in Naivasha, the 97 lawmakers called for the deployment of police reservists in cattle rustling-prone areas.
“As has been captured in the BBI report, security must be streamlined to become a citizen-centred service and to move away from the casual and unsatisfactory manner that has characterised handling of cattle rustling and insecurity before," they said in a resolution.
They demanded that the government comes up with a clear policy on the recruitment and deployment of the reservists.
The group, which has also been opposed the suggestion to implement the BBI (Building Bridges Initiative) report through the parliament also made a U-turn on the issue.
They said that they will support whichever way is found declared best; either through a referendum or parliament.
The lawmakers said that President Uhuru Kenyatta will have the final say on the issue, only a day after he lashed out at them for politicising the constitutional amendment debate.
