Speaking during the release of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations results, Magoha asked politicians not to poke their holes into his business.

He affirmed that he will continue to work with diligence and commitment after President Uhuru Kenyatta gave him the position.

"NEMIS is here to stay! Keep politics out of my work," he said as quoted in a K24TV tweet.

The CS also said that the government will be embarking on training of teachers as it seeks to roll out the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).

"We are training additional teachers specifically for grade 4 rollout. I encourage, not plead that as we move into this journey that you help us. I believe in God & effort, so who are you to think this will not work?" he noted, according to Citizen TV.

Magoha further said that the CBC program will be rolled out in January.

He noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta's government is dedicated to ensuring that Kenyan children get the best education and that the Ministry is prepared to roll out the grade 4 curriculum which is competent based as "we have written books specifically for the curriculum and have distributed them to most counties."
