Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi says she has no issues with Deputy President William Ruto and that the two are in good terms, she has revealed.
In June, Mrs Momanyi was one of leaders from Nyamira who crossed over to a team allied to Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i, who is believed to be eyeing presidency.
Her other counterpart, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, also ditched Dr Ruto's team for Matiang'i, a move that has slightly caused political confusions.
In an interview on Wednesday, Mrs Momanyi said despite her move, the DP still embraces her and that the two are in good terms as leaders.
"The DP speaks to me and he has never had issues. Being politics, we are allowed to change with circumstances and that's what we did.
"I also happy that even his handlers do talk to me. Such kind of leaders are rare. I wish him well in his quest but we are also organising overselves," she stated.
Dr Ruto has made over 20 combined trips to Kisii and Nyamira, with his latest visit coming in Rigoma and Ekerenyo in Nyamira County.
Governor John Nyagarama and Senator Okong'o Mogeni are mobilising county leaders to support Dr Matiang'i for the top seat.
