NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua has declared her admiration for ODM party leader Raila Odinga, stating she would support him for Presidency in 2022 against Deputy President (DP) William Ruto.
Speaking to K24’s Ann Kiguta on Sunday, Karua said Ruto does not have a good record to admire, necessitated by corruptions allegations leveled against him.
But the DP is on record urging his accusers linking him to corruption to record statements with relevant authorities.
She said she has come a long way with Raila, and would easily choose him for 2022 Presidential race against Ruto.
“If it was Raila and Ruto, it would be Raila,” she said. “And maybe who knows tomorrow, maybe someone will come up with an outfit that is so well organized. And a party is organized not by one person, but by the leadership,” she added.
Despite a sections of leaders in ODM claiming that Odinga will run for Presidency in 2022, the ODM party boss is yet to give an indication as to whether he will vie or not.
On the other hand, DP Ruto has already declared his intentions of going for the top seat in 2022. It will be his first stab at the Presidency.
