Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi on Wednesday said National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale will be named the next Prime Minister of Kenya if the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report is implemented before 2022.
In a tweet, the firebrand lawyer said basing on the proposals in the report, Duale being Majority Leader in the National Assembly would be named prime minister, if the proposals are to be implemented before 2022.
"If the BBI proposals are implemented before 2022, Hon Aden Duale will automatically become Prime Minister of Kenya ," he tweeted.
He further noted that time for the BBI debate is over, adding that leaders should now focus on President Kenyatta's Big Four Agenda.
"As a country we have now put to bed the BBI report...its derivatives will be handled by parliament. Let us now focus 100% on H.E Uhuru's/Jubilee Big 4," he said in another tweet.
Duale has promised to support the report after it was released tHe said focus should now shifto the public.
He, however, said the report will only benefit Kenyans if it is pursued with sobriety.
"This document is just the beginning. Kenyans need to go and digest it; then ultimately, when we agree, we’ll turn it into a Bill. There is no referendum as far as the 156-page document is concerned," he opined.
While launching the report, President Uhuru Kenyatta said the contents will mark a new dawn for the nation.
He urged Kenyans to read the report and internalize the same before chatting the way forward.
ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto have also asked Kenyans to read and scrutinize the document before making a decision.
