A family in Ruiru is in tears as it prepares to bury the last three members of a family.
The three family members were killed by a 'reckless' driver along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
According to lawyer Wahome Thuku, Peter Kimani, his wife Zipporah Kimani and son David Gikonyo were driving to Nakuru on August 30 when another car rammed into them.
Thuku said a 'Subaru driver was overtaking carelessly' when he collided head-on with their car killing them on the spot.
The accident occurred two months only after they buried their daughter who died days after her graduation.
"It is a painful moment to bury a whole family within a span of two months," a family source said.
At their Ruiru home, friends and relatives are trying to come to terms with the loss of a whole family.
"A whole family has been wiped out. We can understand their daughter's death, but this (the deaths from the accident) is too painful," the source added.
