Wahome while speaking to a press conference in Malindi accused the President  of being a threat to the economy, democracy and freedom of expression in the country.

“The biggest existential threat to Kenya’s declining economy, democracy, and freedom of expression, political affiliation and growth is Uhuru Kenyatta, because he is on the driver’s seat,” she stated.

The legislator went ahead to allege that the president was using Opposition leader Raila Odinga to execute his political agendas.

She went ahead to claim that the BBI has a specific agenda and reflected on statements made by  Former Jubilee Vice-Chairman David Murathe, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Nominated Senator Beth Mugo.

”Raila Odinga is his new political mercenary for hire, and the BBI report is the special-purpose vehicle heading to the route that has been suggested by Murathe, Atwoli and Beth Mugo,”  Wahome noted.

She further cited that the President's silence on the remarks made by Murathe, Atwoli and Mugo could mean that they have a point.

”Am sure Kenyans must be thinking Murathe is dreaming. No, I don’t think Murathe is dreaming. I don’t think Atwoli is talking from nowhere. I do not think Beth Mugo, who is a close relative of Uhuru Kenyatta, is speaking from nowhere,” she added.

Wahome who is an ally of Deputy President William Ruto also advised President Uhuru Kenyatta to respond to claims that were made by the three so as to clear any doubts among Kenyans.
