Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta realized that he needs to leave behind a legacy when it is too late.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Abdullahi said that the head of state is now rushing to complete projects he had promised Kenyans when his term in office is almost over.
He reminded the President to have walked in the footsteps over other great leaders who changed the world in different ways.
The lawyer also faulted the allies of the President for failing to advise him to implement the projects that would have benefitted the general public when he still had time on his side.
“H.E Uhuru's & his boys had a village mind set up when he came to power. As a young man in the early 50s, Uhuru should have had a bigger ambition to shape & shake Africa. At the twilight of his presidency Uhuru is desperately trying to shake & shape Kenya,” he tweeted.
The president has maintained that he will ensure that he implements the Big Four Agenda before he completes his second and final term in government.
The head of state has been asking his team not to engage in early campaigns at the expense of development.
