President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined other leaders in mourning the demise of former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe.
In his message of condolence, Uhuru said that Mugabe's death is not only a big blow to Zimbabwe but to the entire African continent.
Mugabe died after a long battle with illness in Singapore where he had been taken for treatment. Uhuru said that the founding father of the nation will surely be missed after leading for 30 years.
"On behalf of the Government and the People of Kenya and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Government and the People of Zimbabwe following the death of former President Robert Mugabe,” he said.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has also mourned the demise of Mugabe.
"It is with the utmost sadness that I announce the passing on of Zimbabwe's founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe.
"Cde Mugabe was an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people. His contribution to the history of our nation and continent will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace."
