Fred Gori, one of the friends the MP invited to a meeting said that he told them that they needed to take good care of their wives because they constitute good support systems during difficult times.

"The thing that Ken told us which will remain with us for a very long time, he told us, 'You guys take care of your wives because you have a lot of money for treatment but without a support system from your wife and other family members it's very unlikely you will pull through,"Gori said in a video shared on YouTube. (1:40-1:50)

He succumbed to the terminal in a Nairobi hospital after a long run with treatment in Paris, France to manage his condition.

His constituency residents reacted with shock and sadness to reports of his death.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing to give the legislator a befitting send-off.
