Spouse of Acting Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani Gumato Yattani becomes the latest major beneficiary of state appointments after landing two appointments.
She has been picked for the Taskforce on Standard and Quality Infrastructure Reforms by Trade and Industrialization CS Peter Munya in a gazette Notice number 10758.
As a member of the taskforce, she will be involved in evaluating comprehensive terms and shortcomings of the taskforce's arrangements and architecture.
The same person has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Council by Education CS George Magoha.
In the gazette notice dated November 15, Mrs Yattani will serve for a period of 3 years and was appointed through the Universities Act 42 of 2012 and will begin on November 8.
This comes shortly after there was an outrage from Kenyans following the appointment of the late Robert Kochalle to the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) by Cabinet Secretary for Information and Communication Technology Joe Mucheru.
Mr Kochalle who died in May 2018 was picked by the CS to be a member of the Ezekiel Mutua-led board.
This was an expose, pointing fingers to how the ghost workers having been finding their way to the government, which has big a great challenge to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
