In a tweet on Saturday, the former presidential aspirant found it unrealistic that Owalo is proposing irrelevant things to Kibra residents, and leaving out the things they badly need.

He took issue with his vows to buy hearses and fire engines for the constituency, with the procurement of engines being among the responsibilities left for the county government.

He said this just points at the confusion reigning within the former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi-led block, urging him to confirm that all is well within the Amani party.

"ANC's Kibra parliamentary candidate Owalo wants to buy vehicles to transport dead bodies, wants to buy fire engines among other crazy things. What sort of confusion reigns in ANC? We need to check up on the entire team. Something is seriously wrong! Hon Mudavadi, are you guys OK?" he tweeted.

Owalo will be battling it out with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Imran Okoth, who is seeking to recapture a seat left vacant after the death of his brother Ken Okoth.

Also in the contest is Jubilee party's McDonald Mariga and Ford Kenya's Khamisi Butichi among others.
