Ambassador Ukur Yatani has come out to thank President Uhuru Kenyatta after appointing him the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Planning.
On Tuesday, Uhuru made various changes in his cabinet, which saw various Cabinet Secretaries and Permanent Secretary reshuffled.
More so, Uhuru introduced the Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) position where various people were appointed into government positions.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday evening, Ukur noted that Uhuru showed great trust in him by appointing him into that great position.
''It is with great pleasure and humility that I thank H.E the President for appointing me the substantive Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Planning. I am humbled by the faith and trust that H.E the President has bestowed upon me,'' said Ukur Yatani.
He further promised Uhuru and all Kenyans at large to work in his capacity so that Uhuru's Big Four Agenda is attained.
More so, he noted that he wants to make sure that the country's economy is changed for the better.
Even as Ukur is celebrating his appointment, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri was sacked from his position and replaced by Peter Munya.
This got many leaders talking with some attacking Kiunjuri while others giving him hope to continue serving the nation in other capacities.
This comes days after Kiunjuri dared Uhuru to sack him.
After his sacking, Kiunjuri noted that he saw this coming and it didn't surprise him.
