Residents of Nyatieko village in Keroka Township Location, were left in rude shock after a body of middle aged man was found dumped by the roadside on Wednesday.
Keroka Township location chief Kennedy Ndege confirmed the shocking incident, saying the body of the deceased had visible burns.
"The body was discovered dumped in a ditch by the roadside by a bodaboda rider who raised alarm. No resident was able to identify the victim," said Ndege.
Mr Ndege regretted increased cases of insecurity in the region saying youths who are engaging in crime should stop before the government takes action.
"The body of the deceased was moved to Gucha hospital morgue where fingerprints will be taken for it to be identified," he noted.
Keroka OCPD Walter Apondo reinstated that police have launched probe over the death of the unknown man, arguing that the man might have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped at the roadside.
"Members of the public need to cooperate with police to ensure those engaging in criminal activities are brought to book. There is no cause for alarm since we have put security measures to flush out criminals," said Apondo.
