Thirdway Alliance Party has once again poked holes into the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) task-force, doubting the authenticity of the content of it's report.
The party's Secretary General Frederick Okango on Wednesday night said judging by the details contained in the report, it is now clear that the task-force was deployed with a specific goal.
He claimed Kenyans were fooled into thinking the BBI was all about changing their lives, but it is now coming out as part of a plot to benefit a few individuals.
"We were told that the BBI was traversing the country picking opinions from Kenyans, yet the same Kenyans are opposing it. This means we were fooled and what is in there is the opinion of some specific people. (Tuliambiwa BBI inatembea Kenya nzima kuchukuwa maoni ya wakenya lakini wakenya wenyewe wanaipinga. Hii inamaanisha tulichezewa shere, hii ni maoni ya watu fulani)," he said on Radio Jambo.
He opined that the task-force was unnecessary as most of the things it purports to address, can be addressed through goodwill, without constitutional changes.
Okango pointed out that such include demand for political inclusion by Kenyans, which he said can easily be done by President Uhuru Kenyatta considering all ethnic groups for state slots.
"Citizens want inclusion, why can't the president pick his Ministers and Principal Secretaries from all the tribes? (Wananchi wanataka inclusion, mbona rais asichukue mawaziri na PSs kutoka makabila yote?)," he posed.
