Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has mocked the postponment of Dr. James Nyoro as the Kiambu Governor.
Nyoro was set to be sworn-in following Governor Ferdinand Waititu's impeachment on Thursday but the process was stopped.
The Judiciary had deployed Justice John Onyiego to oversee the ceremony but the process was halted without much details.
And Cheruiyot, who happened to oppose Waititu's impeachment, wondered why the process had to be stopped.
"@SakajaJohnson ..Nani amekanyanga waya Kiambu ? Reggea has been stopped albeit for a few hours, days, months or perhaps years..who knows ? @kipmurkomen is it you? " he questioned.
However, Nairobi Senator Johnstone Sakaja was quick to metaphorically say that the process will eventually take place.
"Deejays have been known to temporarily pause it but in the end, nobody can stop Reggae," said Sakaja, one of those who voted against Waititu.
Should Nyoro be sworn-in, he will become the third Governor of Kiambu given that Waititu had taken over from William Kabogo.
Waititu is in court to challenge the impeachment, and he's said to be keen to question the technicalities behind his impeachment.
