The father, Peter Kanyatta, recalled that the daughter died on Sunday morning after failing to get medical attention needed to save her life. The deceased was a Form Three student at Kamacharia High School in Murang’a.
The management of the school had called the father on Saturday informing him that she was unwell before she was taken to KNH to seek treatment little did they know that was the end of her in this world.
Kanyata, a resident of Umoja Estate in Nairobi, revealed that he left his house immediately after receiving a call from the school.
He also said that they have been taking her to Mama Lucy for treatment but she was overwhelmed at School forcing them to pick and take her to KNH.
"We have been taking her to Mama Lucy Hospital and when she went back to school, she got overwhelmed and so we were called,” Kanyata said on Sunday.
The parents admitted that she has been experiencing breathing issues for a week or so. The kin also said that the doctors at Mama Lucy once told them that the disease could not be identified.
They said that the problem was to do with the brain and it had been linked to adolescent growth.
The parents took her to Mathari but they were asked to transfer her to KNH. The relatives now want the management to come clean on the matter.
