That relationship goes back many years according to Governor Sang.

Speaking on Monday at his office, the Nandi boss said that he had been engaged by Dr Joyce Laboso to provide consultancy services on the 2010 constitutional referendum by conducting civil education and capacity-building in Bomet.

"My relationship with Joyce Laboso goes back to 2010 when I participated in the processes running to the referendum and I was engaged as a consultant by Joyce Laboso herself to do capacity building and civil education on the new constitution in Bomet," Governor Sang said.

Sang also revealed how he sat down with Dr Joyce Laboso, when the two threw their hats into the gubernatorial ring, to discuss strategies to deploy to "transform the lives of our people in Bomet and Nandi."

What's more, the two borrowed programs from each other when they were both elected as the governors of their respective counties.

Governor Dr Joyce Laboso succumbed at a Nairobi hospital Monday after a long run with cancer treatment.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing to give her the send-off that her stature befits.
