Kaptembwa Sub-county police commander Patrick Olonyi while confirming the incident said they nabbed three and third sacks of bhang and a suspect who has been selling the drugs in the area.

The information was received through a tip-off from Boda Boda operators who were in a mission of searching a stolen motorbike.

The operators said they found the bhang in a house owned by the main suspect alleged to have stolen their motorbike.

Olonyi thanked the general public for the tip-off saying that the bhang was being packed in rolls meant to be traded in the local market.

Residents have raised alarm over increased cases of insecurity in the area citing that increased illicit drugs in the area have caused the alarming insecurity.

Olonyi has however appealed to parents to be keen on who their teens will associate with over the holiday warning that they might fall in the drugs trap or in the illicit sexual practices that have increased in Nakuru town west.
