Couples in relationships will always have disagreements that lead to fights.
However, in most situations, the fights are usually not fair, something that causes partners to have unhealthy fights.
Here are three tips for fighting fair with your partner.
1. Remember that yelling solves nothing
It is understandable that people yell sometimes, especially when they are super angry. However, in order to be fair, you need to handle things in a mature way. Instead of yelling at your partner, try to address the issue in a calm manner. This will give both partners a chance to air their grievances and provide an opportunity to come up with lasting solutions to the problem.
2. Don’t talk over each other
When having an argument, it is mportant to allow your partner to finish their sentences so that you can also start yours. All of you talking at the same time will only make things worse. Talking one person at a time is surely the best way to handle fights fairly.
3. Use “We” not “You”
No matter how bad the situation is, you should still use "we" during the argument because you are a team. Using “you” will seem like you are not part of your partner's life and this will make them feel like they have been treated unfairly.
