The authority made the announcement to enable tax payers file their returns without much pressure.

All branches of the taxman will be open during this period.

“Our offices will remain open until June 30, to facilitate payment and filing of tax returns by all PIN holders," the taxman said, as quoted by Standard.

Kenyans are now expected to have filed their 2018 returns as well as prior annual tax returns with the authority within the remaining duration.

KRA unveiled the online filing system to enable Kenyans to conduct the process from the comfort of their couches without going through much hassle over the same.

Citizens who are not aware of the process of filing returns can visit cyber cafes, Huduma Centers and KRA offices for assistance.
