Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju remains under attack following Deputy President William Ruto's claims that he is an opposition insider despite serving in the ruling party.
Ruto on Sunday revealed that Tuju has been working side by side with opposition boss Raila Odinga and is even the opposition chief strategist currently.
This has seen him subjected to countless attacks from Ruto's allies, the latest attacker being National Assembly Majority Whip Benjamin Washiali.
Speaking from New York City on Wednesday, the Mumias East Member of Parliament said that Tuju is part of an ongoing plan to victimize some persons in the party, apparently the DP.
He faulted Tuju's Thursday trip to Siaya county, alongside opposition members, where they supervised a number of projects in the region, terming it in bad taste.
“Their motive was obvious. We know the kind of politics they are playing,” he said, at s time when Ruto's brigade is bow pushing for Tuju's resignation.
Tuju on Thursday flew on the same chopper with Siaya Senator James Orengo and MPs Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Otiende Amollo (Rarieda) and Jubilee Secretariat official Steve Mwanga to Rarieda, raising eyebrows in Ruto's camp.
Tuju is yet to respond to his resignation calls, in a fight that both President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga have also kept away from.
