David Murathe has shuttered the claims of impeaching some leader in the country, saying that impeachment laws in Kenya don't work.
Speaking at an interview at K24 TV on Sunday, the former Jubilee vice-chair said that impeachment laws don't work in Kenya despite the efforts of some MCA's since up to date no governor has been impeached.
As per his argument, Murathe said that the only thing that has been done is barring governor with graft charges from accessing their offices.
"The impeachment laws in Kenya don't work. No single governor has been impeached but we have seen governors forced to step aside," Murathe said.
Murathe spoke of impeachment in Kenya in regard to the actions of the Deputy President William Ruto of going against President's will of not politicking.
Former vice-chair stated that the fact that DP Ruto has been politicking for three years now, he should have been sacked already, only that the constitution does not allow a president to sack his/her deputy.
He termed DP Ruto's act of going against President Uhuru an act of insubordination.
"The Deputy President has been contradicting the President...They have started campaigning, that is insubordination but the law does not allow the President to sack him." He said.
