Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Shollei has condemned the way leaders around the country are handling the Building Bridges Initiative process saying that Kenyans are being taken for fools.
Speaking in an interview at Spice FM on Wednesday, Shollei said that it is confusing how Kenyans were first told that the copies will be disseminated then later decide to go get the views from Kenyans.
The lawmaker argued that the methodology that is currently used is a wrong one, and the ones handling the BBI report should disseminate the report to Kenyans.
“We are being taken for fools as Kenyans. First, you tell us that you are going to disseminate the report to Kenyans and then you say you are going to get their views. [The] teaching methodology is wrong. You are supposed to disseminate then sit back and then after a couple of months then the public has views.” Gladys Shollei said.
According to her, she does not believe that President Uhuru wanted things to take the root that is currently taking, and she also went ahead requesting someone to inform the president of how things are being held.
“I don’t think Uhuru Kenyatta intended it to go out this way and I think someone should let him know,” she said.
