This, in turn, tends to make the parenting harder and hence some people shy away from having children.

Here are some of the myths about parenting which are not true;

1. You must respond to every misbehaviour of your children firmly lest you lose control over them

It is quite hard for a parent to respond to every misbehaviour of the child keeping in mind the responsibilities he/she should attend to or even different moods.

For a parent to control their children, they ought to be firm in decisions or even set various rules that should be followed. This hence instils discipline in your children.

2. Babies who walk and talk earlier are the brightest among their peers

Every parent wishes to have an active and intelligent child. Most people believe that parents whose children are more active than their peers at early ages are more intelligent. This is not the case. According to Dr Susan, a paediatrician, most children who delay in these areas have different underlying health issues.

3. Babies cry all the time

Most people are always worried about not having peace at home due to persistence baby cries. Babies always cry for a reason. Some could be going through teething, hungry, uncomfortable or in full diapers. It is therefore important to make your baby comfortable and this won't have them cry.
