Activist Boniface Mwangi now says State House should be cordoned as a crime scene perhaps for proper investigations.

Governor Mutua on Monday claimed that for two occasions, he was threatened by the three while attending a function at State House.

"State House is a crime scene," tweeted Mr Mwangi, a fierce critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta's government.

In his lengthy statement, Mutua asked Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai and Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i to beef up his security.

“I am writing to bring to your attention that the above-named persons have on two different occasions threatened me with unspecified consequences because of my statements on national issues,” said Mutua as quoted by Standard.

But since then, Murkomen and Duale have rubbished the alleged death threats, terming them unnecessary propaganda by the second term governor.

"Mr Mutua is writing another episode of his cobra squad series. Having failed spectacularly as a leader he turned himself into a Joseph Goebbels of his county govt. He is of no consequence to anyone to deserve any attention let alone threats. Lets just watch the cinematic. vipindiree," Murkomen said in a tweet.

“The truth is, attention seekers are looking for validation. They want to know they are worthy,” Duale added in a different tweet.
