The new chief officers appointed by Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama on Monday were interviewed.
The county boss appointed three women and six men to be chief officers who appeared before various committees from the departments they have been appointed to serve.
The appointed officers are Lydia Kemunto Momanyi from Magombo ward who is expected to head Public Service, Dr. Jack Magara from Homa Bay (Health), Lilian Kerichi from Rigoma ward (Roads) and Emmanuel Mokoro from Magwagwa (Agriculture).
Others are Josphat Gori from Esise (Lands), Joshua Marwanga from Bogichora to be chief officer for Environment, David Orori from Magombo ward (Trade), Christine Ogechi from Bokeira (Gender) and Vincent Oigo from Ekerenyo (Education).
On several occasions, Governor Nyagarama has been accused of laxity and condoning corruption.
