Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has yet again launched a scathing attack on ODM leader Raila Odinga on his birthday.
Odinga celebrated his 75th birthday on Tuesday, marking a milestone in the struggle for second liberation and quest for power.
Barasa, a sworn critic of Odinga and a close ally of DP William Ruto, took Raila head-on in an indirect jab over the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Raila, Barasa argued, should quit alcohol and drink a lot of Brookside milk on his birthday, he said.
Happy Birthday Jakom @RailaOdinga.You you should now officially quit drinking alcohol. If there is something you should start drinking now in plenty is Milk especially from brookside, the one you were boycotting," he wrote.
After the closely contested 2017 polls, Odinga advised his supporters to boycott Brookside milk, a company associated with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
However, the two later reconciled in March 2018, a move that caught most of their close supporters and aids off guard.
Odinga wished the country positive achievements in his birthday message. He was born in 1945 at Maseno.
"On this day, I thank God for the gift of life thus far. Wishing greater things to our country and our people," he said.
