Naivasha police boss Samuel Waweru who confirmed the incident said they arrested the suspect after the body of the Form Two girl was found dumped in the area.

Waweru said the Form Three student stabbed the girl to death after she rejected his sexual advances while at his parents’ home in Mirera, near Naivasha Town.

The boy is said to have lured the girl into his parent’s home while his parents were away and tried to have sex with the girl but she refused.

The teenage boy then allegedly forced himself on the girl and defiled her before stabbing her at least ten times.

Waweru said the boy after committing the crime on Thursday evening hid the body of the girl identified as Valerie Njeri under his bed.

Early Friday morning, the OCPD said the suspect removed the body and dumped it at the doorstep of the girl’s parents.

The girl’s parents were shocked after a passerby informed them that their daughter’s naked body had been dumped on their doorstep.

John Nduno, the girl’s father, said they had gone for a burial function in Laikipia and had left their daughter to run their shop.

“When we returned in the evening, Thursday, we looked for Njeri everywhere, but we did not find her. On Friday morning, a neighbour knocked on our door and told us that our daughter’s body was lying at the main gate,” said Nduno.

The boy was arrested after a trail of blood from where the body was found was traced to his bedroom.

The body of the deceased has been moved to Naivasha hospital mortuary where a post-mortem will be conducted.
