An elected MCA in Nyamira County has lauded Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i for ordering the establishment of a new Assistant County Commissioner’s office in his ward.
Bogichora ward MCAGeorge Morara Abuga said Fred Matiang’i’s latest move will end crime in the region.
“Matiang’i has proven to be a leader who is living to his words. He promised to have the office of the assistant county commissioner set up in Bogichora when he toured West Mugirango some days back and that has come true," he said.
He urged Gusii leaders to work closely with the minister for the sake of development in the region.
“I wish to call upon my fellow MCAs from Nyamira, Kisii counties and MPs to stop criticizing Matiang’i but instead support him to ensure he delivers accordingly,” he noted.
The MCA said once the new assistant county commissioner will be deployed in the area, crime will be a past tense not only in Bogichora ward but also across West Mugirango constituency.
