Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi has poured scorn on remarks by former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando wa Kabando on the chances of Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 elections.
Kabando had claimed in a tweet that the DP stands no chance in 2022 as he had lost significant support.
'My fren, sarcastic #TBT, tongue-in-cheek. Bill had a golden chance to succeed UK. All gone now, thanks to his weird bravado. All gone, thanks to URP arrogance. Is all gone, thanks to parallel ”IKULU” Sugoi. All gone, thanks to Bill’s “genius," Kabando wrote.
In a rejoinder, Itumbi laughed off the former legislator's claims as he made a mockery of the clout that he has.
He dismissed the tweet as politics of elders and short stories.
"Hahaa & the person to tell us @WilliamsRuto Will lose the election is @Wakabando - Because he is a star politician & because our votes are controlled from a lottery basket, where only a few know how we will vote. The Politics of Kikuyu elders & other short stories..#PuppetSisi," Itumbi tweeted.
Kabando wa Kabando is strongly opposed to the prospect of the presidency of the DP, who has announced his intention to run for the top office.
