The Japanese League two match was played at Kashiwa’s Hitachi Stadium, with the Kenyan striker scoring twice in the first half. He scored two quick goals in the space of eight minutes, the first one coming in the 30th minutes and the second in the 38th minute. Cristiano da Silva scored the third goal in the 80th minute.

Earlier this month, he was recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) after scoring six goals for Kashiwa in the month of August.

“I am happy to be elected August player of the month. I would like to thank God Almighty for His blessings. Without you, it wouldn't be possible. My teammates, my supporters and everyone who believes in me, I am truly thankful. All I can do is to continue working hard and pray for better tidings in the future. God above all,” he said after receiving the award.
