The party has since acquired a new headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi, which has reportedly cost the opposition leader Raila Odinga-led side a whopping Sh180 million.

According to reports, the party has already paid a down payment of Sh20 million and is set to pay the remaining portion of 60 per cent before moving in in December.

At the same time, this seems like a plan by the party to restructure itself ahead of the coming 2022 general election.

The party on Friday hinted that something good is on the way for its supporters, following a series of revelations by its top brass that a new plan to revamp the bloc is in progress.

"Something good and new coming to you soon,"  tweeted ODM to its supporters, according to the Standard.

The relocation is also attributed to the reported refusal by the house owner and former Odinga ally Karoli Omondi who owns the premises to renew the house lease.

This was after he cried foul in the previous general polls after he lost the ODM party ticket for the Suba South constituency race to National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi.

According to the Standard, the party seeks to move in by December 31 and has since embarked on painting the new building in its Orange colours while at the same time acquiring new furniture to be used in the offices.
