Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Ms Mayaka said the bill will help the county government plan well and initiate activities that benefits the youths without making errors and improper estimations.

"My first task will be coming up with a bill that would help us know the exact number of youths within the county. We want also to know those who stay out of the county. It's proper for government to plan well resource allocations for the youths.

"Knowing what you do, your skills and experience would help us push for proper accommodation by the county. It's paramount for the county to have such figures because they help even in budgeting," she said.

Ms Mayaka is a close associate of ODM leader Raila Odinga and is often tasked to be part of the team organising  countrywide functions. In Nyamira, the ODM party nominated her to represent women and youths.

About her court battles, Mayaka said it helped her to be strong and resilient given than she ended up staying out of the county assembly for over 17 months despite her valid nominations.

"I am excited to be back. The court battle wasn't the best of all but I remained committed. I didn't have the money and I kept pushing. At last, the courts gave justice and am happy about it," she said.

Courts established that one Mrs Damaris Mouni, through the help of her son who has since left IEBC, sneaked her name to the ODM nomination list at the expense of Ms Mayaka. She has been serving all through in the slot until her eviction on Tuesday.
