A lorry which was ferrying beer to the Western part of the country on Sunday afternoon overturned at Westlands area, Nairobi County.

The accident scene turned chaotic few minutes after a bang of the lorry was heard when it hit the ground.

Kenyans who were around the place dashed at the scene and for beer lover, it was a jackpot for them.

Police were forced to launch teargas to disperse them.

Ma3Route took to Twitter and alerted road users to avoid using the route.

"The police are using teargas to disperse the crowd. Westlands round about. Avoid the area. via @kasmal, " they tweeted.

The Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK) has since taken to social media to sound a warning to Kenyans that drinking such like beer can cause health problems to them.

"Be very careful. Never consume bottled drinks from a fallen truck like the one with beer which fell over in Westlands. The drinks are likely to have small broken parts that could be ingested into your system and cause huge health damage in the long run. #ConsumerVoice," they tweeted.
