Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa says he is ready to join hands with opposition MPs as soon as Parliament resumes in a bid to fight economic sabotage.
A loyal Jubilee follower and a diehard for Deputy President William Ruto, Barasa in a series of tweets on Friday, he said the interests of the people override any other.
"I am going to team up with MPs from the opposition to fight the ills of economic sabotage to ensure that those who are driven by interests of protecting their family business are fought everywhere," his first tweet read.
"When parliament resumes this year I will not be driven by what affects the government but rather what affects this great country. This country needs selfless leadership that is driven by problems that affects our people", Barasa added.
In a rather stirring post, he stated that "It's better to be a member of a strong opposition that of a handshake condemed Government whose ills you smell everywhere."
Elected on a Jubilee Party ticket in a region where opposition parties enjoy unrivalled support, Barasa has been a key figure in Deputy President William Ruto allies.
