Wiper Party leader has opened up on the health condition of his wife; he rarely talks about his family especially his wife's health condition.
Speaking to Citizen TV in an interview that aired on Sunday night, Kalonzo confirmed that his wife was stable.
"Well, Pauline is stable we thank God and that is what I really wanted to say and there are lots of friends who have been praying with us and for her and we still expect God's miracle in our life," he stated.
The former Vice President took a break from politics in 2017 and 2018 to attend to his wife who was then sick. During the period that Kalonzo had taken a break, he rarely commented on political matters.
He left the country on October 11, 2017, approximately 14 days to the repeat Presidental election so as to be with his wife at a German hospital.
According to an article published by Nation November 22, 2017, Kalonzo at one point issued a clarification on his wife's health condition while out of the country. Back then, he said there was no cause for worry.
He silently flew back into the country together with his wife three months later.
