Kenyan International Clifton Miheso has joined Portuguese third tier side Clube Olimpico do Montijo.
The former Thika United, AFC Leopards, Sofapaka and Golden Arrows midfielder, joins the European side from Zambian Club Buildcon FC.
“One more booster coming to our group, with the last club Buildcon of Zambia. Athlete with a notorious experience. The Olympic Club of Montijo wishes him the best personal and sports happiness,” his new Club posted on Facebook after his acquisition.
This is Miheso’s second spell in Europe after playing for VPS in Finland for one year in 2015.
Elsewhere, Kenyan winger Paul Were has returned to Greece after signing for second-tier side AO Trikala.
He joins the Club from Kazakhstan side Kaisar Kyzylorda. In 2016, Paul Were played for AEL Kalloni in Greece. He has previously featured for Acharnaikos and Kalamata both in Greece, Amazulu in South Africa, and Tusker FC and AFC Leopards in Kenya.
He helped Tusker win the 2011 Kenya Premier League (KPL) title.
The speedy winger is expected to be part of the National Soccer Team, Harambee Stars squad that will feature in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.
The tournament will be held between June and July.
