It is no doubt that most Kenyans have three meals in a day. However, others have more than three meals depending on their financial status.
But for former National Sevens Rugby player Dennis Ombachi, three meals fall way below his daily routine.
While speaking to Citizen TV’s Bernard Ndong, Ombachi said he can have up to 15 meals a day.
“Because you play professional sport your diet is definitely slightly different. You have ten meals in a day. Isn’t that a bit costlu?” Ndong posed.
“I also eat out on the street quiet a lot. Street food is cheap first of all, that is how I can afford to eat seven to ten meals a day,” said the Nondiescript Rugby Football Club player.
The former Mwamba RFC player says, a part from playing rugby, he has a passion for cooking.
“My passion for cooking started way back hanging around my mum in the kitchen, in the farm, so basically, growing up I grew around food. Cooking food, planting food of course, that is where I learned how to bake my first cake,” the 28-year-old player said.
Ombachi competed for Kenya at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He will remembered after he made a very late run to sneak Kenya through securing the slot to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.
