Sleeping on the same bed can pose more risks and comrades have never realised it. It is a widespread habit in halls of residence and hostels within the campus.

Most of them sleep on the same bed to share the high cost of accommodation and to as well minimize cost. 

While this may be the best way of saving some money and a good idea to them, the dangers that come with it will shock you.

Dr Guy Meadows demonstrates that sleeping on the same bed can make you not have enough sleep as people have varied sleeping habits.

“It’s rare that you find two people with the same sleeping habits and so sharing a bed can be a difficult and potentially a sleep-depriving process,” Dr Meadows, sleep expert for Bensons for Beds cites as quoted on express

As elucidated by express, sleep deprivation can result in other infections like heart problems, increased depression, respiratory diseases and stroke.

In another report made by the University Hospital Case Medical Centre in Ohio, you can get some skin infections through contact and sharing the same bedsheets/pillows. 

Among the skin infections include; eczema, rashes and scabies. Furthermore, ringworms can be acquired through sharing the same bedsheets
